Uncle Ebo Whyte
Ghanaian playwright, Ebo Whyte, has promised a mind-blowing experience for theatre audience who will be watching his upcoming one-man play in September.
The 60-year-old will be the only actor on stage to serve theatre audience with a two-hour comic performance titled ‘Crazy Ride’.
This will be part of the 10th anniversary of his Roverman Productions, and high expectations await the show.
Uncle Ebo has decided to do the show himself after directing the show for many years. But some persons think he is treading on a dangerous ground that could end his theatre career.
However, a press statement from Roverman Productions says Ebo Whyte is ready to surprise the doubting Thomases.
“Yes, he will mount the stage and put up a one-man show that will blow the minds of his audience. He wants to show every bit of the creativity deposited inside him but as to exactly he will do, he has been tight lipped about it. The only thing he says is that “it’s gonna be a crazy ride,” it said.
Over the years, Uncle Ebo has been described as a phenomenal playwright, author, director, counsellor and motivational speaker and life coach.
He has written and directed almost 40 plays since 2008, and they have been received very well. He has, no doubt, lived up to expectations but at this point everyone is in a dilemma if he can pull a one-man show successfully.
