Edmund Kyei, the Asokwa Constituency NPP First Vice Chairman
EDMUND KYEI, a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is now the first-vice chairman of the party at Asokwa Constituency, in Kumasi.
His huge popularity in Asokwa Constituency and the Ashanti Region in general, came to bear as he recorded a landslide victory at the NPP polls.
Edmund Kyei, who is respected in the party, had 425 votes in the Asokwa Constituency NPP elections, which was held peacefully on Saturday.
In an interview with DAILY GUIDE after being declared the winner of the elections, he gave thanks to God and the party’s delegates for honouring him.
Edmund Kyei, a member of the NPP communication team, stated that the victory would spur him on to work harder to enhance the fortunes of the party.
According to him, he and the other elected executives at Asokwa, would quickly implement a perfect campaign plan to help the NPP win the 2020 polls.
He entreated the party members to start serious campaign for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo now so that he can retain power for the party.
He stressed that President Akufo-Addo has chalked several successes so far in government so the party members should use it to campaign for the party.
Edmund Kyei, who is noted for his kindness, announced that he would institute a health endowment fund in the constituency to cater for the delegates.
He averred to use his new position and links in the party to seek job opportunities for NPP members at Asokwa to help enhance their lives.
He promised to do whatever is needed to motivate the party members so they would be encouraged to work hard to make the NPP attractive.
