Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum
The Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has assured Faith-Based Organisations (FBOs) of his commitment to work together with them to bring finality to the current challenges confronting Christian Mission Schools in the country.
At a meeting with heads of Christian Mission Schools on Wednesday, the minister also promised to help develop a universal policy to guide all Faith-Based Schools in Ghana.
The meeting discussed among other things, longstanding challenges confronting Faith-Based Schools (FBS), including the recent issue at the Wesley Girls’ High School.
The group appealed to Dr. Adutwum to speedily finalise a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which was submitted to the ministry a few months ago by the FBOs.
Earlier this week, the minister met with the Muslim Parliamentary Caucus and a representative of the Chief Imam to discuss similar issues.
