Enam Engages UNFPA Ahead Of Breast Cancer Campaign

Enam Tugbefia

Actress Enam Tugbefia and her Enam Foundation paid a courtesy call to Ghana office of United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

The visit was among other objectives to engage with youth taking part in the UN organisation’s Youth Leaders Fellowship programme.

The Youth Leaders programme, also known as YoLe Fellowship, is a platform by the UNFPA to shape today’s innovators while developing tomorrow’s future leaders.

It is a year-long programme designed to integrate young people into the UN system by empowering them in UNFPA’s areas of interest, while providing Fellows with opportunities for professional development and training in driving health-innovation.

The Enam Foundation was warmly received by UNFPA Management ably represented by Mr. Micheal Ige, the YoLe Fellowship Programme Manager, and about twenty-five Fellows who had an educative fun section with questions and answers on diverse issues discussed.

The Enam Foundation is aimed at touching lives of marginalised Africans through education, health and economic development projects.

Therefore, the call to engage with the YoLe Fellows came handy as the visit saw discussions to explore opportunities for partnerships/collaborations with the UNFPA Ghana – starting with October, 2021, which is the month dedicated for the awareness of Breast Cancer globally.

At end of the visit, Mr. Micheal Ige thanked the Enam Foundation for the visit . He  promised in line with the mandate of United Nations Population Fund Country Office Ghana, it would identify areas of possible collaboration with Enam Foundation to ensure that every young person’s potential is fulfilled through the proposed collaboration, for the good of Ghana.
