Fuse ODG Thrills Fans In Accra

Fuse ODG on stage

Fuse ODG performed songs on his latest album, ‘The New Africa Nation’, to exciting home audience on Thursday ahead of the Easter celebrations.

This was held at the +233 Jazz Bar & Grill in the heart of Accra, where he staged a live concert to showcase his complete album to his followers.

The concert attracted a number of music fans and showbiz personalities, including Sarkodie, Chase Forever, Kwamz & Flava, Gyedu Blay Ambolley and a host of others who were there to support him.

Since its release, the 19 track album —which is Fuse ODG’s sophomore body of work— has courted massive critical and commercial popularity, with many hailing its originality and intention.

Released under Fuse’s Off DaGround Records, New Africa Nation melds a gamut of influences ranging from rap, grime, bashment, house, Afrobeat and hilife.

Fuse is known around the world for actively promoting African culture, and the album amplifies that objective.

He started his performances on the night with his hiphop-induced attention songs before songs like ‘Bra Fie’ and ‘Island’, all on the album.

In between the performances, he paused and talked about the inspiration behind the songs, drawing a rapturous applause from the excited audience.

It was, indeed, a night of great fun.

KOD and Cookie T of Starr FM, who were the MCs of the evening, also spiced up the event with a lot of fun.

Born Nana Richard Abiona, Fuse has collaborated with fellow global icons like Wyclef Jean, Elephant Man, Sarkodie, Sean Paul, Shatta Wale, Ed Sheeran and Major Lazer. He is also curator of the annual TINA Festival, the first of which was held in January this year. He has promised his followers some great experiences in times to come.
