Accra Hearts of Oak have apologized to their fans following their defeat to Moroccan side Wydad Athletic Club in the second leg of the CAF Champions League qualifiers.
Hearts were pummeled 6-1 in Morocco to put the tie 6-2 on aggregate.
By the results, Wydad has progressed to the group stages of the competition while Hearts will now compete in the final round of qualifiers for the group stages of CAF’s second-tier inter-club competition, the Confederation Cup.
The club released a statement on Monday morning asking for fans’ forgiveness for their poor showing.
