Investigator Grilled Over ‘Dildo’ Video

Inspector Emmanuel Danso of the Anyaa Police Station in Accra on Friday had a hectic time convincing Andrew Vortia, lawyer for Queenie Akuffo, the 26 -year-old lady accused of sexually assaulting her co-tenant with a vibrator that the act was painful.

While the lawyer insists the victim, 22 year old Janet Amankwah enjoyed the act and showed no signs of pain, the investigator held a contrary view.

No Pains

Mr. Vortia stated that the left hand of Janet was on her left thigh as captured in the video stressing that the victim was conscious throughout the act.

He said Janet appreciated the “sourness, and the sweetness” of the alleged act for which his client had been hauled before the court.

In the view of the senior lawyer, the victim could not be said to be in pain under such posturing in the instant case.

Cop Insists

But Inspector Danso under cross examination opined that the victim was in pain, a situation which compelled him to issue the police medical form to the victim through her (the victim’s) mother.

According to him, Queenie forcible “pushed” what he said was an “artificial penis” into the vagina of Janet.

He stated that a brother of the victim was contacted to come and carry Janet from the residence of the accused to the hospital on the day of the incident, indicative of the fact that the victim was in pain after the act.

Inspector Danso posited that the victim could have refused the act if she were conscious.

Summon

Meanwhile, the police have hinted of summoning the doctor who took care of Janet after the incident.

Detective Inspector Judith B. Asante told the court presided over by Abena Adjin-Doku that the prosecution was yet to serve the doctor with the summons to appear before the court.

So far three witnesses aside the complainant have testified in the case including Maame Lizzy, a younger sister of the victim and one Appiah Kubi, a regular visitor to the residence of the accused.

Hearing continues on August 3.

Queenie, who reportedly filmed the act with her Infinix mobile phone, is standing trial for unnatural carnal knowledge.

She has denied the charge and is currently admitted to bail in the sum of GH¢40,000 with three sureties.

The Act

Queenie allegedly committed the act at about 6pm on January 25 this year at Ablekuma in Accra where both of them(Queenie and Janet) reside.

According to the prosecution, Queenie asked other witnesses around to leave and she locked her bedroom but a 13-year-old witness went to peep through the window of the accused person and saw her (Queenie) inserting the artificial male organ into the victim’s private part.

The victim’s brother, one Nana Sasu, saw the act and alerted her mother (the complainant).

They rushed to the aid of Janet and saw her lying naked in Queenie’s bedroom with vomit all over her body.

The artificial organ was found on top of Queenie’s wardrobe while a video recording of the act was also found on her Infinix mobile phone.

Queenie, in her caution statement to the police, admitted the offence.
