Mrs. Vera Ofosu Takyi receiving her award
The Acting Director of Audit at the Judicial Service of Ghana, Mrs. Vera Ofosu Takyi, has been adjudged the best Advance Performance Management (APM) student for the year 2017.
Mrs. Vera Ofosu Takyi, who is also a Chartered Accountant, placed 1st in Ghana and 27th in the world among 5,500 students who sat for the APM examination conducted by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
She was presented with the award at the 2018 ACCA Annual Students Summit and Job Fair at the Accra International Conference Centre.
She was honoured alongside 80 awardees who excelled in the various examination papers conducted by the ACCA.
Presenting the award, the Portfolio Head for East and West Africa, Mr. Norman G. Williams, presented a citation to Mrs. Takyi that read: “This is in recognition of your outstanding Academic Achievement for winning paper P5: Advance Performance Management at the June 2017 examination sitting.”
He noted that strength, determination, challenges and confidence counted for her success, adding “excellence isn’t a skill, it’s an attitude”.
He urged her to keep up the good work and continue to strive for perfection. “Now, it is time to celebrate the success,” he stressed.
The ACCA Annual Students Summit and Job Fair is a gathering of key stakeholders in the financial sector to learn at firsthand major challenges in the industry and changes in the qualification requirements as well as network among themselves. It was on the theme: “Building a Strategic Business Leader”.
