Kojo Bonsu, Nii Amasah Namoale
President John Dramani Mahama has appointed new Ambassadors, High Commissioners, and Consul-General designates to various countries.
In a statement signed by Dr. Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President, it was indicated that the appointments were made following consultations with the Council of State.
The statement read, “I write to inform you that the President of the Republic, following consultation with the Council of State, has nominated the following individuals as Ambassadors, High Commissioners, and Consul-General Designates.”
Among the appointees is Benjamin A. Quashie, who will serve as Ambassador to the Republic of South Africa; Kojo Bonsu, appointed as Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China; and Hammed Rashid Tunde Ali, who will serve as Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.
Other appointments include Captain George Kofi Nfojoh, designated for the Togolese Republic; Grace El Mahmoud Marabe as Consul-General to the United Arab Emirates in Dubai; and Prof. Ohene Adjei, who will represent Ghana in Germany.
Additionally, Abdul Nasiru-Deen Abdul has been appointed Ambassador to Turkey; Theresah Adjei-Mensah will serve in the Czech Republic; and Prof. Kwasi Obiri-Danso has been designated as Ambassador to India.
Other notable appointments are Kalsoume Sinare Baffoe for the Kingdom of Spain; Dr. Dora Francisca Edu-Buandoh, as Ambassador to Canada; Dr. Margaret Miewien Chebere as Ambassador to Denmark; Labik Joseph Yaan for Equatorial Guinea; Nii Amasah Namoale for the Federative Republic of Brazil; and Dr. Felix Kumah Godwin Anebo as Ambassador to Senegal.
