Nana Addo Visits Volta

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is billed to visit the Volta Region for the first time after his inauguration as Ghana’s president and the second time after he was declared winner of the 2016 general election.

The president’s two-day tour begins today and ends tomorrow, 14th May, 2017.

The visit would among other things, see the president meeting some party executives and supporters in the region and interact with traditional and religious leaders.

He is expected to grace the 30th anniversary celebration of the Mafi Kumasi Senior High Technical School in the Central Tongu District on Saturday as the special guest of honour.

President Nana Addo will then depart for Ho where he is expected to visit the Volta Regional Hospital and some educational institutions, including the Ho Technical University (HTU) and the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS).

He will later in the evening be treated to a cocktail to be organised in his honour by the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC). The cocktail will also provide the platform for the first gentleman of the land to interact with heads of departments, the Volta Regional Security Council as well as media practitioners.

Then on Sunday, President Nana Addo will join the congregation of the Global Evangelical Church in Ho to worship God.

He will then have lunch with the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State and the President of the National House of Chiefs, Togbe Afede XIV, and some chiefs.

The president’s next stop will be at the Ho Technical University where he will interact with the students.

President Nana Akufo-Addo will climax his visit with a mini rally at the Kpoanyigba Park in Ho where thousands of party supporters and members of the general public are expected to converge.
