The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, aka Abronye DC, has lauded the infrastructural performance of President Akufo-Addo at various senior high schools in the country, saying “everything is on course”.

He said school conditions would have worsened if the government had not prioritized school infrastructure in the face of increased enrolment as a result of the Free SHS policy.

Speaking after embarking on a tour at some secondary schools in the region, Abronye said the completion and ongoing construction of classroom blocks, dormitories, dining halls and kitchens had relieved the schools of congestion, intimating that this is as a result of the good works of President Akufo-Addo and his NPP government.

His inspection took him to Chiraa Senior High School, Odumaseman Senior High School, Notre Dame Senior High School, Sunyani Senior High School and St. James Senior High School and Seminary, all in the Sunyani East and West municipalities.

He was accompanied by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Sunyani West, Martin Obeng; Regional Coordinator for Free Senior High School, Kusi Boadum; and some regional executives of the NPP, including Kofi Ofosu Boateng, the Regional Secretary.

Abronye and his team inspected more than 20 school projects and said they would inspect other projects in the coming weeks. He entreated colleague party executives to continue tracking government projects.

Many of the projects were commenced in 2019 and Abronye wanted them to be completed on time to help improve teaching and learning.

He said the opposition NDC had being going about telling lies that the NPP administration has not done anything. He, therefore, urged Ghanaians to disregard the NDC’s vile propaganda, adding “if they had done a little of what President Akufo-Addo is doing currently, Ghana would have been a better place.”

“The NPP is not interested in their vile propaganda. We are determined to focus on issues and address the concerns of Ghanaians. The NDC will continue to be second to the NPP because they have proven to be nation wreckers,” he pointed out.

The Sunyani West MCE, Martin Obeng, expressed gratitude to the Bono Regional Chairman and his executives for taking time to inspect the progress of work at the schools.

According to him, the move is novel and called on other regional chairmen to also track government projects and make them known to the people.
