Nana Storms Savannah Region for 2-Day Tour

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will today Sunday, July 11, 2021 embark on a two-day tour of the Savannah region.

The visit will be the President’s first since beginning his second term in office after the last December elections.

The Savannah Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Mohammed Issah told DGN Online that the president is expected to address the good people of Gonjaland at Radio PAD, a local based radio station in Damongo.

According to him, the president will then proceed to the Yagbonwura’s palace where he will pay a courtesy call on the Overlord of Gonja Traditional Area, Yagbonwura Tuntumba Boresa I.

President Akufo-Addo will then move to Buipe where he would call on the paramount chief of the Buipe Traditional Area, Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor Il, and commission the Buipe Accident and Emergency Hospital.

He indicated that on day two, the president will move to Kpembe where he will call on the Overlord of Kpembe Traditional Area, Kpembe Wura Daari Haruna Bismark.

Mr. Issah disclosed that the president will inspect the Salaga water project, town road projects and commission the Salaga Astro-Turf project.

The Savannah Regional Communications Director noted that the president will also inspect the Bunjai-Fulfulso road project to end his tour of the Savannah region.
