FLASHBACK: Napo paying homage to Otumfuo
The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has been praised for his exceptional kindness.
The Minister of Energy, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh aka ‘Napo’, who doubles as the Manhyia South Member of Parliament (MP), disclosed the Asantehene’s generosity during the 74th birthday of the monarch on Monday, May 6, 2024, adding that his reign has been filled with positive developments.
“As we mark this momentous occasion, we reflect on the countless lives you have touched with your kindness, wisdom and generosity,” Napo wrote about Otumfuo.
“Your legacy is not just etched in the annals of history but in the hearts of those who have had the privilege to witness your reign,” he declared.
Napo used the occasion to thank God for adding another year to the life of Otumfuo, while praying for long life, sound health and success for the Asante King.
Meanwhile, the Asantehene on Monday morning marked his 74th birthday with a mammoth thanksgiving service at the Saint Cyprian’s Anglican Church in Kumasi.
The event was graced by former President John Agyekum Kufuor, top traditional leaders in Asanteman and other parts of the country, the clergy and other dignitaries.
