SOME NEW Patriotic Party (NPP) coordinators and polling station executives have paid for the nomination forms for Freda Prempeh, the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Tano North Constituency in the Ahafo Region.

The historic move and show of love was done by the NPP members as a way of displaying their unflinching support for their sitting MP, who has performed very well during her three terms in Parliament, spanning from 2012, 2016 to 2020.

According to the NPP members, Freda Prempeh’s performance, both in Parliament and in the constituency, has been excellent so far, and they want her to sustain her good works for the area, hence paying for the nomination forms for her.

Freda Prempeh, who doubles as the Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, also showed her appreciation to the NPP coordinators and polling station executives when she submitted her nomination forms to the party executives on Wednesday.

“I am delighted to present my nomination forms paid for by coordinators, and polling station executives in this constituency who are asking that I seek a fourth term to do more for the people including creating opportunities of jobs for the youth and the aged.

“And due to other responsibilities I have in Parliament, I am doing it today so I can represent them in Parliament as the House rises on Friday”, Freda Prempeh stated, adding that her utmost desire and vision was to lead the area into prosperity.

Significantly, Freda Prempeh, the sitting Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, is the first cabinet Minister from the Ahafo Region. She was followed to the party office by scores of enthusiastic party members and supporters.

She presented her completed party nomination forms to the NPP Tano North Constituency Secretary, Stephen Ntiamoah Takyi at the party’s office at Duayaw Nkwanta, amid pomp and pageantry.

Sounding confident, she said the upcoming parliamentary primary would be the easiest because she trusts the delegates to grant her a resounding endorsement on January 27, 2024 so she can win her fourth term and serve her people.

In a related development, Freda Prempeh has toured and inspected ongoing projects being done under her leadership by the NPP government. They include Bedomie-Jachie, Predua, Buokurukuruwa and Duayaw Nkwanta junction roads, which are nearing completion.

The Bomaa SHS and Serwaah Kese SHS have received brand new school infrastructure including mechanised bore holes to aid the students and staff to have regular water supply in order to make life comfortable for them on campus.

Also, two modern toilet facilities are being constructed at Efisipa and Yamfo communities. At Koforidua and Yamfo, the communities have received two astroturf projects, with the one in Koforidua already in use.

Lastly, the construction of the National Training School for the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), which has three large dormitories, modern classrooms and an administration block, is over 85% complete at Buokurukuruwa,
