Patapaa
Patapaa was hospitalised on Monday in a private facility at Swedru in the Central Region after allegations of being poisoned.
According to reports, he got poisoned at a drinking spot at Swedru while having a drink in the company of some unidentified men on Sunday.
A video of Patapaa’s unresponsive body in a hospital bed spread on social media like wildfire on Monday evening.
He was also in the trends on Twitter as many showbiz observers sympathised with him over the unfortunate incident.
“I just saw the video of Patapaa in the hospital bed. Man has become black. Which kind of food poisoning will make someone black like this herh. The person who did that is really wicked. I pray God save him so that nothing bad will happen to him,” one Twitter user by name Ankamagyimi commented.
This is the second time the ‘One Corner’ hitmaker has come in the news over a reported case of poisoning.
Meanwhile, some persons have their doubts about the ‘poison brouhaha’, because they believe it could be a publicity stunt by Patapaa and his crew.
A press statement from Patapaa’s camp on Tuesday, however, corroborated what others thought might be a stunt, as it turned out that he wasn’t poisoned, after all.
“Patapaa Amisty is doing fine and recovering speedily from a minor illness,” it added.
