Pupils of Sankana D/A JHS in Nadowli – Kaleo District of Upper West Region barely have textbooks that complement the educational curriculum. Close to 90 percent of these students have no idea what a computer is. In a recent donation ceremony, Piiri Foundation visited the school and donated 10 computers, 100 drawstring bags and school supplies including textbooks, pens and erasers. The headmaster, Thomas Saneinga Kaleo Naah,was enthused to receive the items from Co-founder of Piiri, Ernest Ban-Ira. Mr. Ban-Ira assured the school and community of the development of a computer lab to help bridge the digital divide between Northern and Southern Ghana.

We help to improve the quality of life and transform poor villages into self-sustaining communities, by engaging a caring community of volunteers, project sponsors, donors, partners and friends throughout the world. Piiri foundations’ goal from the very beginning was simple: properly coach, support and encourage poor communities to successfully transition from poverty to self-sufficiency.
