President Promotes 4 DCOPs, 23 ACPs

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has promoted four deputy commissioners of police (DCOP) to the rank of a Commissioner of Police (COP) and 23 other Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP) to the rank of a Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCOP).

A release signed by the Director in charge of Police Public Affairs Directorate, Superintendent Sheilla Kessie Abayie-Buckman, said the promotion was as a result of a recommendation by the Police Council for the officers who are due for promotion.

The new COPs are Vincent Redeemer Dedjoe, Director-General in charge of Police Professional & Standards;  Godfred Owusu Boateng, Bono Regional Police Commander; Kwaku Boadu Peprah, Director General in charge of Operations, and Frederick Adu-Anim, Director General in charge of Information Communications Technology at the Police Headquarters.

The new DCOPs are Joseph Obeng, Deputy Director, Service Workshops/National Headquarters; Peter Baba Atiinak, Deputy Eastern Regional Police Commander; Rev. FR. George Arthur Director, Religious Affairs/National Headquarters; Emmanuel Afriyie Sakyi, Deputy Accra Regional Police Commander; Mr. Nelson Opoku, Deputy Director, Audit/National Headquarters; Vance Baba Gariba Director, ICT/National Headquarters, and Isaac Emmanuel Quist, Administrator CID Headquarters.

The rest are Kwasi Akomcah-Apraku,  Deputy Volta Regional Police Commander; Alexander Kwame Amenyo,  Deputy Upper East Regional Police Commander; Dennis Abade Akob-Dem, Deputy Central Regional Police Commander; Haruna Saeed, Director, payroll  National Headquarters; Moses Ali Kpeachin,  Deputy North East Regional Commander; Sebastian Atsu Wemegah, Deputy Oti Regional Police Commander; Charles Botwe, Officer Commanding Regional Police Training School/ Kumasi; Michael Nketiah  Frimpong,  Finance Officer, National Police Training School/Accra.

The rest are Ernest Akrasi  Kirk Mensah, Deputy Western North Regional Commander; Francis Nyametso, Director, Serious Crime Registry CID  Headquarters;  Ebenezer Larbi,  Deputy Savannah Regional Police Commander; Charles Kwabla Normesinu,  Director, Inspectorate Unit/National!
