Prophet Kumchacha
Founder and leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministry, Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Kumchacha, has voiced his concerns about the increasing prevalence of smartphone usage during church services, which is leading to a disturbing trend of pornography in church.
In an interview on OKAY FM, Prophet Kumchacha lamented the decline in the use of physical Bibles in favour of mobile phones among churchgoers.
He expressed dismay over the ease with which individuals now access explicit content during religious gatherings, attributing it to the widespread adoption of smartphones.
“Now people don’t come to church with Bibles. All they come along with is their phones. You’ll be shocked to note that while you ask for quotations, people will be watching pornography on their phones,” he remarked, illustrating the gravity of the situation.
Prophet Kumchacha emphasised the need for worshippers to remain vigilant and guard against temptations that may rise from the unrestricted use of smartphones within the sacred confines of the church. He urged congregants to uphold moral standards and maintain the sanctity of religious gatherings.
“While recognising the advancements of the modern world, we must not compromise on moral standards or allow the sacredness of religious gatherings to be compromised,” he stressed, underscoring the importance of preserving the integrity of church environments amidst technological advancements.
