Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Limited (Stan Chart) has won two major digital banking awards at the 10th edition of the Ghana Information Technology & Telecom Awards (GITTA), stamping its supremacy in the sector.
The bank was adjudged Digital Bank of the Year and Mobile Banking App of the Year. This is by kind courtesy of the hard work of its digital team led by Mariam Agyeman-Buahin, Director and Head of Digital Banking and Corporate Partnerships.
The GITTA is an award scheme that recognises excellence in the telecom and information technology industry.
The 2020 edition of the award was held at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra last Friday, under the theme: “Celebrating A Decade of ICT Excellence.”
The event attracted industry giants and key stakeholders from the Ministry of Communications, National Communications Authority, Bank of Ghana and many others.
Standard Chartered Bank’s major awards clearly indicate the bank’s continued commitment to improving its service for a great costumer experience.
In 2019, the bank launched its SC Mobile App to fulfill its determination to provide the best digital lifestyle for clients.
It has been designed with continuous feedback from clients, incorporating innovative technology to allow clients to execute all banking activities from a mobile device.
A year after its launch, SC Mobile has recorded remarkable growth nationwide, due to its many functionalities that allow users to bank on the go.
Customers are able to transact cardless cash transfers, perform local and international fund transfers, pay bills and send money while gaining access to a functional service request centre.
It’s therefore not surprising the bank is now a leader in the digital banking space and also winning awards.
