Stonebwoy
Celebrated dancehall act, Stonebwoy, has called on people in Ashaiman township not to allow themselves to be used by politicians to ruin the peace the town has been enjoying.
The call is in response to some residents who are supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), demonstrating in Ashaiman over alleged rigged results of the 2020 general elections.
Videos from the town over the weekend captured the residents creating roadblocks and burning car tyres in the middle of the road.
According to a Happy FM report, it took the intervention of fire service personnel to quench the fire before it could escalate.
Stonebwoy in a tweet on Sunday urged the people of Ashaiman to keep the peace, indicating politicians know what to do if they are not satisfied with an election result.
“Ashaiman, My people please all these cannot solve anything, the politicians themselves know better what to do. Where our small power counts is to vote and we have done just that. Don’t allow yourself to be used. Let’s KEEP THE PEACE and go about our hustle, it will be better…” he tweeted.
Sadly, some NDC folks came hard at him on the social platform for saying what should be done.
According to them, he should stop preaching peace and talk of justice instead because there can be no peace if there is injustice in the country.
