The leader of Tanzania’s main opposition party, Chadema, has been detained, reports say.
According to reports, Freeman Mbowe and 10 of his party members were arrested in the night in the northern city of Mwanza.
Reports say they were planning a conference to demand constitutional reforms under President Samia Suluhu Hassan when they were arrested.
