A taxi driver has thwarted an armed robbery at Darkuman by deliberately ramming his vehicle into two suspects who had attacked a MoMo vendor and stolen GH¢7,700. One suspect escaped, while the other was apprehended.
The taxi used in the intervention was damaged during the rescue, with photos showing its front bumper smashed. Online calls have been made to support the driver, urging donations to repair his vehicle, which is his main source of income.
The driver’s courageous action has been widely praised, highlighting Ghanaians’ determination to combat rising urban robberies.
