Napo responding to cheers
MATTHEW Opoku Prempeh has urged the citizenry to vote massively for Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia to sustain the good works of President Nana Akufo-Addo.
According to him, the country needs a competent leader so the electorates should consider competence when voting.
“I’m appealing to you to cast your ballots for Dr. Bawumia since he can sustain the gains that have been achieved during the last 8 years,” Dr. Prempeh, a.k.a Napo said.
Addressing chiefs and imams at Afrancho in the Afigya Kwabre South Constituency as part of his Ashanti Regional campaign tour, he said Dr. Bawumia is the best to lead the country.
Napo, who is Dr. Bawumia’s running mate, entreated the electorates to do away with religious or ethnic ideologies when casting their ballots on December 7.
“Where a person is coming from or his/her religion is not important. What is important is what the person can do as president to rapidly lead our country into prosperity.
“That’s why I’m passionately appealing to you to come out in your numbers on December 7 to vote for Dr. Bawumia and all the NPP parliamentary candidates,” he said.
According to Napo, Ghanaians are one people with a common destiny so all must play their roles to help maintain the peace and unity in the country.
He especially lauded traditional leaders for their significant contributions in ensuring peaceful coexistence of the various religious and tribal groups.
Napo said, “Chiefs are neither muslims nor pastors but they give their lands for the construction of churches and mosques for worship and that is something we should applaud”.
