President Nana Akufo-Addo
Congratulatory messages are pouring in for President-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo, from leaders around the world.
Mr Akufo-Addo was on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, declared winner of the December 7, 2020 presidential elections.
Since then, several world leaders (past and present) have endorsed his victory and congratulated him overwhelmingly.
Mr Akufo-Addo is expected to begin his second term on January 7, 2021.
So far, he has received congratulatory messages from the African Union (AU), the European Union, ECOWAS, Presidents and leaders of South Africa Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Togo, Nigeria, Ethiopia Guinea, Sierra Leone.
He has also been congratulated by the leaders of Morocco, Japan China, US, UK, Germany, France Russia, Ireland, Turkey, South Korea, Rwanda, Hungary, Liberia Iran, Singapore, and Malaysia.
