Lawrence Agyinsam being supported by other officials of GEXIM to receive his award
Ghana Export-Import Bank (GEXIM), the leading export finance institution cum policy and development bank, on Friday won four awards at the Human Resource Awards in Accra.
The awards ceremony was organised by Instinct Wave, an event organiser, to recognise and reward outstanding human resource practitioners and human resource focused organisations in Ghana for their innovations in the profession and contributions to the development of human capital in Ghana.
Owing to its outstanding performance in the field of human resource management, Ghana Export-Import Bank received the “Human Resource Team of the Year 2019-Public Sector Award and Human Resource Innovation of the year 2019 Award.
The “Gold Most People-focused Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Award of the year 2019 went to Lawrence Agyinsam, CEO of GEXIM.
Michael Tetteh Voetagbe, General Manager, Human Resource and Administration, who emerged as one of the Top 20 HR practitioners, won an award.
Mr. Agyinsam dedicated the awards to the board, management and staff for their cooperation and support towards the smooth transition from an agency to a full policy and development bank within two years.
He also urged the Human Resource Department in particular and staff not to be complacent with the awards but work hard to excel in their chosen profession.
Ghana Export-Import Bank was established by an Act of Parliament 2016 (Act 911) with the objective of supporting and developing directly or indirectly trade between Ghana and other countries and build Ghana’s competitiveness on the international market.
