Senior Minister Nana Yaw Osafo-Maafo has paid a courtesy call on the Overload of Dagbon, Yaa Naa Abukari Mahama II, as part of his tour of the Northern Region.

Mr. Osafo-Maafo said at a meeting that Ghana is blessed with a lot of natural resources including gold, bauxite, diamond, iron and even oil but they have not yielded enough positive dividends for the country due to mismanagement.
“Ghana Beyond Aid is non-political and seeks to call on all Ghanaians to have a change of mind and attitude to develop the nation,” he said.
He urged the public to put all efforts together to develop the country and continue to uphold nationalism. He said as part of the tour of the region, they were going to hold a public discussion in Tamale on Ghana Beyond Aid.
Responding to demands made by the Overlord of Dagbon concerning water, the Senior Minister said there were already existing plans to build a water supply system for Yendi and its environs.
The Yaa Naa commended the Senior Minister for his visit and assured him of his full support.
For his part, the Yoo Naa assured the minister of the people’s support and advised government not to taint the Ghana Beyond Aid agenda with undue partisanship.
The Tolon Naa urged government to deepen decentralization since over concentration of all government programmes in Accra is not helping the country.
