Tepahene Endorses Bawumia

Vice President Dr. Bawumia was given a rousing welcome at Tepa in the Ahafo North Constituency of the Ahafo Region yesterday.

This was when he took his campaign activities to Tepa.

He was met on arrival in the town by an enthusiastic youth with chants of “It is possible,” whilst signaling the number one sign, which has became synonymous with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) campaign this election season.

When he arrived at the palace of the Omanhene of Tepa Traditional Area, Nana Adusei Atwenewa Ampem I, he was received with two arms and given a nice reception.

It was there that he expressed confidence in the ability of Dr. Bawumia to enhance the nation’s development when given the opportunity to become president.

So far, he said the things Dr. Bawumia, who is the presidential candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has done in his capacity as Vice President were indications of what he is capable of doing when elected.

Speaking at a stakeholder’s engagement at his palace in Tepa when Dr. Bawumia called on him as part of his campaign tour, Nana Adusei Atwenewa Ampem I was thankful to the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia-led NPP administration for the many developmental projects they have brought to the area, insisting, “Ahafoman and Tepa has received its fair share of the national cake.”

That, he said, was due to the fact that “we asked for an Immigration Training School and you gave us one here, we also planned to establish a training college here and Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has enabled us to have a university here. I want to thank him and government very much for that.”

Apart from that, he said, “We have also gotten a military base here and I will like to use this opportunity to express profound appreciation for all these things you have done for us.”

Like the proverbial Oliver Twist, Nana Adusei Atwenewa Ampem I took the opportunity to appeal for more developmental projects, especially in the area of roads and schools, some of which he said requires immediate attention and maintenance.

He was confident that when Dr. Bawumia becomes president, he will do it for them, saying, “When the good Lord grants your heart desires, continue to do for us as you have always done for us.”

“You should not forget about some of our roads and schools which need some maintenance; we know when you come you will do it. So we fervently pray for the good Lord to help you to let your dreams come true.

“When you get there, don’t forget the chiefs and people of Ahafo. So we will all support you with prayers,” he said.
