Broadcast journalist, Nana Aba Anamoah, has announced that men are being included in the conversations about ‘Women of Valour’, indicating a collaborative approach to recognising women’s achievements alongside men.
Nana Aba Anamoah, speaking on the United Showbiz celebrity late night show on UTV, highlighted the importance of involving men in discussions about women’s empowerment and valour.
“Men have bought tickets to be part of the Women of Valour conversation, with us, we don’t keep men out of the conversation. You cannot discuss issues that affects women and girls and leave men out, and that is the mistake some platforms make,” she said.
Nana Aba added that, “Women of Valour initiative aims to celebrate and recognise the contributions of women in various fields,” stressing that by involving men in the conversation, the initiative seeks to promote a more inclusive and supportive environment for women to thrive.
“Men must be part of the conversation, because if you put 100 women in a room to discussion their issues, they go outside to fraternise with their fellow men, so they need to be part of that conversation to understand what women are talking about,” she pointed out.
Nana Aba Anamoah’s statement emphasises the need for collective efforts to uplift and empower women, and the involvement of men is seen as a significant step towards achieving this goal.
Nana Aba Anamoah’s ‘Women of Valour 2026’ is happening in London on March 7, 2026, at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
The event’s theme is “The Pursuit of Fearlessness,” and will feature a powerhouse lineup, including Ghanaian actress and TV presenter known for her roles in ‘Tentacles’ and ‘Asoreba’, Nana Ama McBrown; Nigerian actress and social advocate recognised for her award-winning performances, Kate Henshaw.
Other speakers are CEO of Export Boot Camps and former Director General of the UK Institute of Export and International Trade, Lesley Batchelor CBE; Survivor of childhood sexual abuse and Cambodian-American advocate, Debora Shanley.
The event is part of ‘Women of Valour’s’ global expansion, aiming to inspire women through shared stories of courage and resilience.
