Black Queens step up training

Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, will participate in a three-nation international tournament in Tanzania during the FIFA Women’s international window from June 1 to June 9, 2026.

The tournament, scheduled to take place in Dar es Salaam, will feature hosts Tanzania, Ghana, and Malawi as the three countries continue preparations for the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament.

The competition is expected to offer the Black Queens crucial match practice and help maintain the team’s sharpness during the international break.

It will also provide the technical team with an opportunity to assess player performances, strengthen team cohesion, and build momentum ahead of WAFCON 2026.

The tournament forms part of Ghana’s wider preparations as the Black Queens intensify efforts to fine-tune the squad before the continental showpiece.

Details on match fixtures, venues, and the squad list for the tournament are expected to be released in the coming days.
