As part of measures to curb the high rate of alleged criminal activities in the Akuapem South District of the Eastern Region, the Assembly has fixed streetlights on the Aburi to Nsawam road.
Armed robbers as gathered have been terrorizing travellers at night on the road due in part to darkness.
Frank Aidoo, the District Chief Executive of the area, instructed the installation of over 200 streetlights, as part of efforts to curb the disturbing trend.
He explained to DGN Online that they have decided to provide streetlights in response to the criminal activities.
