Andy Dosty
Andrew Amoah, known in the showbiz scene as Andy Dosty, has joined the Ghana DJ Awards board.
As a member of the Ghana DJ Awards jury, Andy Dosty with two decades of experience as a DJ, radio presenter and MC, will bring his knowledge and expertise in DJing to the table to contribute immensely to the development of the awards scheme.
Andy Dosty made this known at the just-ended Ghana DJ Awards which saw Starr FM’s DJ Vyrusky emerging as the overall DJ of the year.
Merqury Quaye, founder and chief executive officer of the Merqury Republic Events, organisers of the awards scheme, officially welcomed Andy Dosty to the board which already has the likes of Mr Adu Gyamfi, Rab Bakari, Hubert Kofi Anti, Richie Mensah, Ahuma Bosco Ocansey, among others.
According to Merqury Quaye, as a member of the Ghana DJ Awards board, Andy Dosty will not be eligible for nominations for awards from the scheme.
Andy Dosty, who is also a musician and actor, started his career as a mobile spinning DJ in 1996 with a mobile spinning group called Ghetto Boys before moving to Tokyo Sounds and finally to Podium Night Club.
In 2003, Andy was first in the DJ Rothmans Challenge competition in Kumasi and represented the Ashanti Region in the national finals, where he placed second.
He has worked with media houses such as Radio Mercury, Otec FM, Peace FM and Hello FM before joining The Multimedia Group, operators of Joy FM, Adom FM, Hitz FM and Asempa FM.
Andy Dosty has interviewed renowned personalities on his radio shows such as Boris Kodjoe, Ace Hood, Freddie Meiway, Gramps Morgan, Carol O’Connor, Kojo Antwi, Daddy Lumba, Sarkodie, Stephanie Benson, among others.
