Music producer, Appietus, has accused highlife musician Ofori Amponsah of failing to share money from a reported Netflix movie deal with artistes involved in the project.
His comments come amid growing concern over musician Barosky, who was recently seen living on the streets in the United Kingdom and has expressed his desire to return to Ghana.
Speaking during a TikTok Live session with broadcaster, Andy Dosty, Appietus alleged that a disagreement with Ofori Amponsah over the deal led to a serious fallout.
According to Appietus, Ofori had promised to share part of the money with Kofi Nti and Barosky but allegedly failed to do so.
He said the deal involved a UK movie titled, ‘The Kitchen’, which featured parts of the song ‘Odo Nwom’.
Appietus alleged that he was entitled to 50 per cent as the producer but accepted a different arrangement because Ofori Amponsah had indicated that some of the money would go to the other artistes.
He expressed disappointment over Barosky’s current condition and said he had made calls to explore ways of helping him return to Ghana.
Appietus also urged the public to stop portraying Barosky negatively, arguing that his current struggles should not define him or erase his contribution to Ghanaian music.
He said Barosky’s situation was unfortunate and urged people to show him support rather than judge him.
