A workshop that aims at empowering artists and arts entrepreneurs in Ghana will on Thursday, January 19 open at the Alliance Française in Accra.
Dubbed ‘Power Play’, the workshop is aimed at ensuring space for personal growth, networking and exchange of ideas/skills, and organisers are expecting participants to be armed with information ranging from music business to bottlenecks that inhibit the growth of the industry.
This workshop is also set to advise up-and-coming artistes on building a foundation from their first fans, developing sound and expanding production techniques. It goes further to also advise on the business aspect, as well as how to present themselves and interact with potential partners.
It will comprise 25 speakers drawn from various areas of the arts, seven topics, five showcases and two studio workshops for participants.
Alliance Française, Accra and Akwaaba Music are organising the workshop which ends of Friday, January 20.
