The significant contribution of Asadu Royal Group of Companies to the country’s sanitation drive has been recognized by the Commonwealth University and the London Graduate School, all in the United Kingdom.
The two prestigious institutions presented the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asadu Royal Group of Companies, Edward Asadu with important awards in recognition of his invaluable contributions to the growth of the economy at events that took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) recently.
He was awarded with Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) by the Commonwealth University and Master Certificate in Leadership and Management by the London Graduate School.
Speaking after receiving the two prestigious awards, Mr Asadu expressed his happiness with the awards and said that he was very humbled by the recognition accorded him by the two prestigious institutions.
He also dedicated the award to his workers.
The CEO commended the new government for its vision to create a new Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources and expressed the hope that President Akufo-Addo’s promise on improving sanitation in the country would not be the usual lip service.
“We in the industry will want the President to give more meaning to his commitment to improving sanitation by making importation of waste trucks by recognized waste management companies duty free and also help provide more dumping sites for disposal of waste,” he said.
Mr Asadu also asked the government and appropriate authorities to pay more attention to the work of health inspectors.
“Throughout my work, I have realized that health workers are sleeping on the job and not working at all.”
