Mrs. Rebecca Naa Okaikor Akufo-Addo
Mrs. Rebecca Naa Okaikor Akufo-Addo, wife of the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, toured the Ashaiman Constituency as part of her Greater Accra Regional campaign and appealed to the electorate to vote for Nana Addo and the NPP to make Ghana a prosperous country.
Accompanied by the NPP parliamentary candidate for Ashaiman, Alhaji Labaran Yakubu Barry and his executives, Mrs. Akufo-Addo told market women at the Ashiaman market to vote for change and give Nana Addo the opportunity to improve the NHIS, revive the school feeding programme, make maternal healthcare free and generally improve the well-being of all Ghanaians.
After meeting with drivers at the Ashiaman lorry park, Mrs. Akufo-Addo ended her tour at the Cultural Centre, where she told the gathering to vote for Nana Addo, to fulfill his promises, including the provision of one factory for each district and one million dollars (cedi equivalent) for each constituency, to set Ghana on the path to true economic freedom.
She had earlier visited the Dome Kwabenya Constituency where she told traders at the Dome, Taifa and yam markets that “This election is about getting out of the pain you have suffered for eight years. It is about putting a bitter past behind us and embracing a future of hope and prosperity with a government that knows what it is doing; one that will fix the economy, create jobs, better quality healthcare and education for our people.”
Mrs. Akufo-Addo also visited some lorry parks in the constituency and asked the drivers to give Nana Addo the chance to manage this country, to improve transportation and other sectors of the economy.
