Beenie Man Rocks Accra Tomorrow

Beenie Man

Renowned Jamaican reggae/dancehall artiste, Beenie Man and Ghana’s celebrated dancehall act, Stonebwoy are set to perform at this year’s edition of the BHIM Concert slated for tomorrow, December 21, at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

The two celebrated dancehall artistes are expected to delight fans with their danceable songs which will turn the venue into a dance hall.

Report available to BEATWAVES indicates that Beenie Man, who has carved a niche for himself as a world renowned dancehall act, has confirmed he will make an appearance as headline artiste at the event.

Beenie Man has already made his fans in Ghana aware that he would be performing through his social media pages.

In a brief endorsement video published on the internet, the King of dancehall confirmed he will be performing at the grand return of “Bhim Concert” alongside Stonebwoy.

He is expected to unleash his large catalogue of chart toppers including World Dance, Old Dog, Zim Zimma (Who Am I), Back It Up among others.

This would appear to be one of the first time the two elite artistes have performed alongside one another on one big stage, though they’ve shared the spotlight a couple of different times in the past and have also collaborated.

Beenie Man’s foray into the Ghanaian musical landscape came via his 2019 collaborative song Shuga with Stonebwoy.

The two connected over the energetic rhythm, each delivering their own verses, adding one more track to the much stellar cross-Atlantic musical collaboration that have been going on for years, between West Africa and Jamaica.

Stonebwoy announced “King of the Dancehall” Beenie Man as a headline artiste for his well-attended signature event set for Tuesday, December 21.

The annual event, now in its fifth edition, is organised by Stonebwoy and his Burniton Music Group.

The well-attended concert is part of his plan to highlight Ghana’s musical diversity while promoting his own brand, local artistes (both established and up-and-comers), or bands, as well as engage with his grassroots customers.

The organisers say the concert, an experiential haven, adds to a growing portfolio of year-end activities that allow Africa’s massive diaspora audiences to meet their resident African middle-class counterparts at some of the continent’s biggest parties in Ghana.

It will feature a stellar line-up of performing artistes across Ghana.
