US-based Ghanaian highlife artiste Edwin Manu, known in the music scene as Cally Banks, has teamed up with hiplife/highlife artiste, Patapaa and Tettey for his latest single titled ‘Yaa Amponsah’.
Produced by Lazzy Beatz, the well-arranged mid-tempo song which currently enjoys massive rotations on social media platforms including YouTube is a highlife song mixed with Afrobeat and suitable for parties.
It is Cally Banks first collaboration this year after releasing a number of songs a couple of years ago to entertain his fans.
Banks, who needs no introduction in Ghana’s music industry, has been in the music game for some time now and he is among a few talented artistes in the US who have the ambition of taking the country’s music industry to the next level.
The young singer and songwriter, whose dream is to make an impact on the local music scene, hinted that he is in the studios working on a number of singles to be released later in the year.
According to his management team, Cally Banks has been working hard on his craft and he is now ready to take the country by storm with his musical works.
The team has expressed optimism that the single would soon get the needed attention from Ghanaians.
Cally’s style of music is a blend of African-rooted highlife—making his sound unique among his competitors in the US and Ghana at large.
The video to promote the song has also been released on YouTube.
