The new Capital Bank office in Kumasi
Capital Bank, a wholly-owned Ghanaian bank, which was licensed to operate as class one universal bank in August 2013, has opened its second branch in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.
The new branch located along the Harper Road of Adum offers a world-class ambience with strong African identity.
It will offer tailor-made retail banking solutions, money market and foreign exchange services and customer-focused services.
The bank’s business has grown in the last three years, and management has invested in systems, processes, structures to make its operations more fluid to enhance customers’ experiences, said the Managing Director, Rev Fitzgerald Odonkor during the opening ceremony
“We have also invested in human capital to ensure that our staff are equipped and empowered to deliver first-class services that exceed the expectations of the customer,” he added.
According to him, these strategic changes are already yielding positive results.
Capital Bank was adjudged the Best Growing Bank, Best in Savings and Deposits and the Best Household and Retail Bank at the recent Ghana Banking Awards.
He asserted that the bank was again ranked eighth in the banking category at the Ghana Club 100 Awards organised by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), aside being ranked 25th in the club of 100 most prestigious companies in the country.
Eunice Brocke, Head of Retail Banking of Capital Bank, on her part, said Kumasi is clearly a key market for the bank and the new branch is an important part of “our expansion in the region.”
“Our branch expansion strategy is not only directed at the establishment of world-class branches, but also leveraging on technology to expand the frontiers of branchless banking,” she added.
According to her, the bank has developed a new range of products to provide holistic financial solutions.
The bank currently has 20 operational branches.
