The Christian Leadership College (CLC) has announced that preparations are far advanced to meet the requirements of becoming a fully fledged university in theological studies.
This was disclosed at the 11th graduation and matriculation ceremony of the college in Accra where 57 newly admitted students were matriculated to commence their studies for a certificate in ministry, advanced leadership and theology in January 2018.
The ceremony also awarded certificate in theology in management and certificate in ministry to fifty-seven students who had fulfilled their academic requirements. Over 200 members of the church(Royal House Chapel) who had completed various tertiary institutions both within and outside the country were also acknowledged.
Rev. Dr. Sally Julie Armah, Principal of CLC addressing the congregation after an official opening by Apostle General Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, Founder of the College, praised God for another successful academic year.
Rev. Armah indicated that out of the total number of matriculants, 32 will be studying on the Accra Campus of CLC while the other 25 will be at the Somanya campus of the college.
She also added that the college was gradually bridging the gender gap with 42 per cent of new students being women and 58 per cent, men.
Rev. Professor Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante, President of Trinity Theological Seminary, guest speaker for the celebration reaffirmed his commitment to help make CLC grow into a university urging the management committee to do its job well to see to the successful transition of CLC into a university.
Delivering his message titled, ‘Of Praise, Thanksgiving and Gratitude’ Rev Prof. Mante admonished Christians to live a life full of praise and gratitude to God.
He said thanksgiving was a recognition of God’s Divine Grace in our lives thus if we do not give thanks then we are taking God for granted.
He encouraged the congregation, especially the graduates and the new students, to strive to be the eagles that God has made them to be by going a step higher and achieving greatness.
