Some guests and staff at the hotel upon DAILY GUIDEās visit
Contrary to media reports that the operations of Coconut Grove Regency Hotel (CGRH) were grounded on April 22, this year, reportedly due to fire outbreak, the hotel is actively operating and has accordingly not lost any of its clients.
The General Manager of Coconut Grove Regency Hotel, Ralph Ayitey, assured the general public that the hotel would continue to provide quality services to its customers.
He indicated that his outfit continues to host several events and guests after the fire outbreak, which, he said, was deliberately hyped by the local media.
Mr Ayitey assured that āwe are still very much in business, very much ready to host conferences and guests.ā
Speaking to DAILY GUIDE in an interview at the hotel on Friday, Mr Ayitey explained that it was only a section of the hotel which is housing some affiliates of Groupe Nduom, namely GN Bank and Gold Coast Limited, that got burnt and not the main hotel as was āfalselyā reported by the media.
A tour around the hotel by DAILY GUIDE revealed that the fire outbreak which a section of the media had claimed to have engulfed the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel, has not in any significant way affected the operations of the leading indigenous hospitality firm, as several clients were seen at the hotel, with some having lunch.
The affiliates that were affected by the fire have meanwhile been swiftly relocated close to the hotel and were equally seen operating as usual as at the time this reporter visited them on Friday.
Mr Ayitey told DAILY GUIDE that as management of the hotel awaits a report from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) as to what caused the fire, certain measures have been put in place to avoid the recurrence of such incident.
āWe are open for business; we have very juicy packages available,ā according to the Marketing Manager of Coconut Grove Regency Hotel, Sally Mbroh.
