Report reaching BEATWAVES indicates that former Top FM morning show host, Ekuorba Gyasi, has been signed on by Atinka FM to host its morning show.
The seasoned presenter, BEATWAVES gathered, will start work on Monday as the new host of the station’s morning show dubbed Atinka Morning Drive.
Although Ekuorba Gyasi has refused to comment on his relocation to Atinka FM when contacted, credible sources at Atinka FM yesterday confirmed that Ekuorba has, indeed, joined the Kokomlemle-based radio station.
“God willing on Monday Ghanaians as well as radio listeners will hear Ekuorba’s voice on Atinka 104.7 FM,” the source assured.
He told BEATWAVES that “radio is all about creativity and direction. Ekuorba has been in the business for years. He has studied the trend of the radio industry in Ghana. He is the perfect choice for Atinka FM’s morning show.”
According to him, every radio presenter has his own style of presenting his show, but he believes Ekuorba has something unique in him that makes him outstanding on air.
Ekuorba’s move to Atinka FM is a step farther for him, and he is expected to put his rich radio experience to good use.
Speculations are rife also that a popular radio station in Accra is also making all moves to persuade Ekuorba to rescind his decision to join Atinka FM. However, information available indicates that Ekuorba still stands by his decision.
Starting radio in the late 90s, Ekuorba has so far worked with a number of radio stations like Adom FM, Hot FM, Happy FM, Top FM, among others.
A trained teacher and product of the Winneba University College, Ekuorba Gyasi is on record to have contributed immensely to the success of morning shows on radio in Ghana today.
