The Dagbon Youth Association Elected Executives at the Ya Na’s Palace in Yendi
The newly elected executives of the Dagbon Youth Association (DAYA) have been sworn into office to commence work.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Gbewa palace in Yendi.
The elected executives are Mr. Adam Baba Issifu, President, Dr. Marzuq Abubakari, 2nd Vice President, and Dr. Fati Iddrisu, 3rd Vice President.
Alhaji Jagbo Baako, General Secretary, Haruna Mohammed Mburidiba,1st Assistant General Secretary, Mohammed Hudu Salam, 2nd general secretary, and Zakaria Mohammed Taufique,3rd general secretary.
Other elected executives are Dr. Alhassan Nagumsi, National Treasurer position, Al-Hassan Ibrahim, National Organizing Secretary, and Halid Abu Ishmail, Communications Director.
The overlord of Dgbon, Ya Naa Abukari Mahama II, while addressing the new executives, urged them not to sleep in their new positions.
According to him, the purpose of the formation of DAYA was to foster peace, unity, and development in the Dagbon Kingdom, therefore, the leadership must work to ensure the association achieves its goals.
Speaking to the media after the swearing-in ceremony, the newly elected president, Mr. Issifu, assured the Ya Na and the entire Dagbon that they would work to consolidate the peace enjoyed by the kingdom and ensure its development.
He also assured us that the association will not relent on its responsibility to promote and sell the good image of the kingdom to the world as it has been one of the oldest kingdoms that existed for centuries.
