The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Suhum Constituency is facing a critical test of unity and strength ahead of the 2024 general elections.
The current Member of Parliament’s decision to run as an independent candidate has raised concerns among party members and supporters.
However, the Eastern Regional Executives of the NPP have swiftly moved to address the situation, assuring the party’s rank and file that the NPP remains strong, united, and committed to retaining the Suhum seat.
This development comes on the heels of a fiercely contested parliamentary primary, which saw Frank Asiedu Bekoe emerging victorious.
In a statement, the Regional Communications Officer, Evans Osei Yeboah stated that the party’s leadership has expressed full confidence in Frank Bekoe’s ability to represent the constituency effectively in Parliament.

NPP SUHUM CONSTITUENCY REMAINS UNITED AHEAD OF 2024 GENERAL ELECTIONS
The Eastern Regional Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) wish to address recent developments in the Suhum Constituency regarding the upcoming parliamentary elections.
We are aware of the decision by the current Member of Parliament for Suhum, who has declared his intention to run as an independent candidate after not securing the party’s nomination in the recent NPP parliamentary primaries.
We understand that this decision may have caused some concern among our loyal party members and supporters in the Suhum Constituency.
However, we want to assure the rank and file of the party that the NPP remains strong, united, and committed to retaining the Suhum seat in the upcoming elections.
Frank Asiedu Bekoe emerged victorious in a fair and transparent primary process, reflecting the democratic values that the NPP holds dear. We have full confidence in his ability to represent the interests of Suhum Constituency effectively in Parliament.
We urge all members to rally behind Frank Asiedu Bekoe and support his candidacy to ensure a resounding victory for the NPP.
