Esther Smith In Digital Fraud Brouhaha

Esther Smith

Gospel musician Esther Smith has strongly denied accusations of digital fraud made by OFM Computer World and its CEO, Dr. Debrich Jeremiah Acheampong.

The company claims that Esther Smith owes over $240,000, alleging she owes a 40% share of revenue from digital stores and has control over her music rights and platforms.

OFM Computer World states that in 2020, they created the YouTube channel EstherSmithMusic to promote Esther Smith’s gospel music, and a legal agreement was signed giving them management control.

They claim Esther changed the channel’s password and recovery email without their consent, effectively removing them from managing the platform.

In response, Esther Smith denied these allegations in a statement on her X account. She accused OFM Computer World and its partner, Debrich Consultancy, of hijacking her digital platforms, including her website and YouTube channel, and using a fraudulent music platform, MusicDiffusion, to claim ownership of her songs and royalties.

She further revealed that her management discovered problems with her song ownership and royalties, raising concerns about mismanagement and insufficient payments.

She warned fellow musicians to be cautious when working with digital service providers, urging them to be vigilant and research potential partners carefully.

The dispute has now led to a legal battle over the control and ownership of Smith’s digital platforms.
