The Event Vendors Association of Ghana (EVAG) has awarded over 50 hardworking stakeholders in the industry at the fourth edition of the annual Ghana Event Industry Conference (GEIC) awards and Arabian-themed gala night.
The awards conference, which was started in 2019, was purposely birthed to educate and inform industry players as well as reward them for their efforts in making the industry an attractive and lucrative one.
According to the President of EVAG, Kate Hassen, the awarding board as part of their effort to support members of the association decided to create a forum that will bring together top-notch event and business professionals to share their experiences and impart knowledge to up-and-coming event vendors, organisers, and managers.
The awards event, hosted by Kabutey, Crystal, and MC Smiling Smith, witnessed some of the best industry players pick home some deserving awards on the night.
Think Mahogany won the Best Event Coordinator and the highest voter nominee awards on the night, Abissmart Ghana as Best Local Drinks, Laboratory Cocktail as Best Cocktail Supplier, Hairmoney as Best Event Hairstylist, Urban Grey as Best Event Outfit Designer (Male) and Lightup as Best Special Effect Designer of the Year.
The other awardees include Live Weddings with Kweku, The Character Band, DJ Wuushman, L’amore Bella, Dashis Label, Nelly Unique Rentals, Jema Photography, Blayz Pictures, Eye 360, Jobo Light and Sets, MC Cool Body Jnanes Kreation and Dustin Events.
For the honorary category, Media General’s Crystal Aryee, Edem Smith, Rhythm Africa Studios, Mr. Pratt, Event Master Class Ghana Melissa Mawuse, Joshua Sackey, and the Baker’s King were honoured for their support to EVAG.
