Hundreds of gospel music lovers were thrilled with wonderful performances at the maiden edition of ‘Praise 360’ at the St. Kizito Catholic Church in Nima over the weekend.

The event, which will be an annual concert for Christians to celebrate God, was put together by Fastline Concept, a budding multimedia company.

The maiden edition of ‘Praise 360’ concert witnessed fantastic performances from Opiesie Esther, Diana Hopeson, Hannah Marfo, Deacon Sammy Baah and up-and-coming gospel artistes such as Matilda Teng, Priscilla Kumah, Church Boy, Nana Asiamah and Matilda Agyemang.

According to the organisers, the programme was to help nurture and help put up-and-coming gospel artistes into the limelight.

Livingston Ocloo, the chief executive officer (CEO) of Fastline Concept, stated that as part of the company’s vision to promote Ghanaian artistes, especially the up-and-coming ones, they needed to give such artistes the opportunity to share the same platform with the big artistes to bring them into the limelight.

“Gospel music travels far and it is through the gospel music that the souls out there who don’t know Christ can get to know Him and be saved. We have a vision to promote the underground gospel musicians and this forms part of what want to achieve it. We want the underground artistes to experience the same stage with the top-notch artistes so that they get the confidence that they can also make it,” he disclosed.

Veteran musician Diana Hopeson commended the organisers for “bridging the gap” between the experience and inexperience artistes by putting them on the same stage.

She added that it is important for Christians to praise their Maker and admonished that more of such programmes be organised.

Mrs. Hopeson indicated that up-and-coming gospel artistes should feel free in getting closer to some of them for mentorship.
