We Are In A Fix …Gyan Admits Russia 2018 Difficulty

Asamoah Gyan

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has said in plain words that qualifying for the 2018 World Cup finals is now herculean.

His fear stems from Black Stars’ single point on the standings from two games vis-a-vis the two contenders-Egypt (Six) and Uganda (Four) with four games remaining.

The striker, however, mentioned that the only way to secure qualification is to win all the remaining matches which to him will not be achieved on a silver platter.

Injury robbed Gyan the chance to serve his country when the team travelled to Alexandria to battle group leaders Egypt few weeks ago.

The former Sunderland man said that “For now, it is going to be tough, we find ourselves in a difficult position, we need to be frank to ourselves.”

“If we really need to qualify, we have to win our remaining four matches and that will be difficult.”

Ghana take on their Congolese counterparts in the World Cup qualifiers next year.
