Confirmed cases of coronavirus in Ghana have risen to 25,252.
Dr Badu Sarkodie, Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service, announced this to the media at the Covid19 briefing held at the Information Ministry on Tuesday, July 14.
He said 264 new cases were recorded to push the national infections tally to the above-mentioned figure.
He stated that the new cases were recorded through routine surveillance and enhanced contact tracing.
Through enhanced contact tracing, he said 15,147 cases were recorded while 10,105 cases were recorded through routine surveillance.
According to him, a total of 334,101 tests have been conducted.
He disclosed that there were about 21,397 recoveries; about 139 deaths and active cases of about 3,716.
He noted that about 25 cases are severe conditions, eight critical cases with four on ventilators.
