A Ghanaian man, Kassim Awudu, and his Nigerian girlfriend have been found dead in their apartment in Morocco.
The cause of death is still unknown, and authorities are working to inform their families. A Moroccan resident told Kofi TV that no official cause of death has been given. The news spread after images of the deceased surfaced online.
The resident added that the couple seemed to have died days before being found, and other residents fled due to fears of police interrogation over documentation issues.
“He lives with his girlfriend, and the two of them died in the room, but it appears they may have died three days before they were discovered. So they called the landlord to break the door, and after forcing entry they realised both of them were dead. All the people in the apartment ran away due to documentation issues, fearing the police would come and interrogate them,” the resident told Kofi TV.
