GITTA Opens Nominations For 2017 Awards

The Ghana Information Technology & Telecom Awards (GITTA) is inviting ICT stakeholders, experts and organizations to submit entries for its 7th edition of the awards.

The awards, powered by InstinctWave, has recognized customer service, innovation and excellence in the Ghana Telecom and Information Technology over the past six years.

Akin Naphtal, CEO of Instinctwave, at a press launch of the awards said, “This year, entry for the awards is taking a new dimension. All entries are to be done through an online process and should be submitted on the GITTA website–gittawards.com.gh latest by April 10 for final nomination.”

According to Mr. Naphtal, this year’s awards will feature an independent panel of industry experts that will recognize organizational performances, products and services, innovations, executives and management teams, women in ICT and successful deployed CRS initiatives.

Winners of the awards will be announced at the Gala night which will also allow stakeholders to network, entertain clients and reinforce relationships with partners and reward staff who performed excellently.

“As part of the awards celebration, Mobile World Magazine will celebrate top 60 ICT leaders in the country during the awards night dubbed, “Ghana@60 ICT Leaders” in commemoration of Ghana’s 60th Anniversary,” he added.

Mr. Naphtal also announced the 4th Edition of the Tech 360Africa, a summit which will bring together industry frontrunners in the technology sector across Africa to lead discussions on a host of issues.

According to him, the summit themed, “Transforming Africa with Disruptive Technologies” was scheduled for 8-9 June 2017 at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City.

This, he said “will provide an adequate platform to facilitate processes and policies that will sharpen the future of ICT in Africa.”

He said the Expo Hall will showcase products and services innovations from device manufacturers, VAS providers and ICT companies across Africa, as well as other continents.

Over the years, besides promoting excellence in the telecom sector, GITTA has evolved and extended its reach to include recognition of companies.
